Stephanie K. Hay
Stephanie K. Hay is a native of Decatur, GA, and attended both Howard University and Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshal School of Law. Ms. Hay served as a senior editor of the Thurgood Marshall Law Review, became a licensed civil mediator, participated in the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity mock trial competition, and worked as a student attorney in the Wills and Trust Legal Clinic. Ms. Hay’s professional experience also includes working for the Honorable United States District Court Judge Kenneth Hoyt (Southern District of Texas), the Office of the Harris County Attorney and The O’Quinn Law Firm, immediately following law school.
Stephanie earned her J.D., Cum Laude, in 2012 and was admitted to practice by the State Bar of Texas the same year. In 2015, Ms. Hay was admitted to practice in the United States District Court, Southern District of Texas.
Stephanie credits her father for her passion for pursuing justice for those involved in personal injury accidents. After her father was hit and hurt by a negligent driver, the insurance company would not accept liability. It was then Ms. Hay realized how unfairly insurance companies treated individuals who were hurt and needed help. The matter became personal, and it has remained personal for her ever since. Ms. Hay promises to carry the same passion she had fighting for her father’s justice with her for all of those injured in our area with hard-working attorney services.
Joseph K. Plumbar
Joseph K. Plumbar is a native of Beaumont, TX, and attended Xavier University of Louisiana, where he received his bachelor’s degree in Political Science. Mr. Plumbar went on to attend Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law. Throughout his tenure, he appeared on the dean’s list for several semesters, worked in the legal clinic, and held an externship at the Harris County Attorney’s Office, Civil Division. Mr. Plumbar’s extensive education and experience provided him the opportunity to work as a law librarian and to teach legal research to first-year law students, as well as representing clients pro bono for various non-profit legal organizations.
Joseph earned his J.D. in 2008 and was admitted to practice by the State Bar of Texas in 2009 and by the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas in 2012. He is also licensed in the District Court’s Eastern and Western Districts, as well as the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Plumbar began to pursue his passion for practicing law full-time and opened his law practice in 2009. Mr. Plumbar’s law office is also an instrument he’ll utilize to pursue an even larger accomplishment. Since childhood, Mr. Plumbar chose to sacrifice and dedicate himself to one goal, helping those around him without asking for anything in return. He accepts any challenge when it comes to helping those who are suffering, including anyone in an 18-wheeler accident.
Mr. Plumbar is returning to the firm after departing in 2001 to seek justice for those who need representation from a leading personal injury firm. He prioritizes representing those who were harmed through no fault of their own.
